Post A Prayer has high goals set when it comes to website traffic and conversion ratio. Having goals set up in Google Search Console has helped given visibility of what our website visitors are doing.

Google needs to understand that Post A Prayer is made for all religions or for anyone who prays. We do not want to be locked down or into one religion because there are way too many people in the world that need to pray. Pray online at Post A Prayer.

Google teaches you discipline.

Post A Prayer recently had some site issues that hurt its SEO. We are working to climb back up the SEO ladder after 4 weeks of bad luck. First are robots.txt file was blocking all google bots from going to the site. Next the SSL certificate was broken for about a week and we couldn't get visitors praying as a result.

We were at the SEO highlight of the sites prime when it came crashing down. We knew what it takes to reach the top and learned by discipline that Google will not allow your site to have errors on it long.

Obviously as AI gets better and better at learning humans and how humans interact, behave and process situations it must learn to process the spiritual realm. How would you teach AI about this? Does Google understand when we make a  prayer online?

Google recently rolled out its new Lens product and the name alone is very intriguing.

theatlantic.com recently wrote that AI is a threat to Chrisitanity. I don't think so though. The seem paranoid or delusional. 'The times of Israel' published and according to this article written by Goldfeder, who is a fellow at Emory University,  is working on a book about robots in the law tentatively titled "Almost Human".

Looking ahead what role with AI play into the world's many different religions? Posting a prayer onlinne is becoming the trend for those who are in need or prayer. ?

Post A Prayer (Official) has always had it keen eye on search engine optimization since 2004Post A Prayer (Official) Logo

SAN DIEGO - Nov. 2, 2017 - PRLog -- Quarterly update:

Post A Prayer (Official) has had a keen eye on search engine optimization since 2004. Location or GEO location for S.E.O. was used, and is a primary way to target the world for Post A Prayer. This means post a prayer was focusing on a location centered marketing strategy versus a keyword. The site recently acquired its SSL for the site and now rocks the https for a more secure experience.

As mentioned in previous releases the site is hosted by two companies which presents itself with the ability to search engine optimize thru its primary domain as one avenue, and its new sub domain, forum.postprayer.org as a another. A forum was recently launched on the sub domain, and is the second forum in the sites history. The prior forum was attached, and almost immediately after launch the second forum was attached by spammers and hackers. They generate a full time job in web security for the site and are very annoying.

Site backups are religiously being done to insure that when changes are made or when hackers intrude a roll back of the site can be done effectively and efficiently. Firewalls have also been put in place recently in the forum, and the site now has three separate firewalls to hedge off the attackers. This was enough, however, when using three firewalls it affects the forums functionality.  Christian prayers still tend to dominate the website. The prayers are placed into the forum manually until it reaches a prior glory of seven thousand plus prayers and the forum generates its own activity.

The primary domain is fast and holding steady and several prayer post will come in daily. A new goal to hit is thirty per day and will be obtained by having a focus on more external optimization. Statistics that show up to eighteen hundred visitors a day and will continue to tweak the site until it captures more prayer posts. This dose not seem to match Google Console yet but to remain hopeful is key.

Press releases, blogging, and start to engage with back linking are in store for the future.

(In karate accent) "Master, me no know how to optimize." Much love to the Googlites out there and may Google be with you.

SAN DIEGO - Oct. 9, 2017 - PRLog -- After over a decade of marketing the same mark, Post A Prayer filed an application with the USPTO for a trademark. Post A Prayer has been reinvented itself multiple times while seeing major changes throughout time, however, its logo has not been.

Post A Prayer has been working hard to brand itself worldwide and become a household name. "We have stuggled with optimization and have had to overcome many challenges.", Scott Turner CEO states. The site just recently added a new forum area to replace its old and dated forum. In the old forum, some of the prayers posted and collected were lost due to server issues that could not be repaired. As a result Post A Prayer has moved and is now hosted with two different companies Zoho and Cloudaccess. The pitfall is that the forum is having to start from scratch again at ground zero.

Post A Prayer was established in 2004 and has had over 10 million registrations (including spam sign ups). Recently it made the change to remove all adsense code to speed up the sites interal process'. You should feel a noticable difference.

The other day I was in a car accident where a driver of another vehicle hit me in a T-bone fashion. When I became aware we were going to make impact and I truly thought I may die, I had a long 2 seconds in the accident to address God, call out to him, and kinda make peace with him. It was quit strange because it almost seemed like time stopped for a moment, God came down, adjusted the cars correctly so I would walk away without a scratch.

I found it very natural to be in prayer in a what was perceived to me as my last moments on earth for a brief few seconds. I had been angry with God recently too, and he still had me walk away from my car being totaled without a scratch. I did hit my head pretty good, but the airbags saved me from glass splatter and further head trauma.

The accident went like this>>turn my head to look for traffic>> realize there is an oncoming vehicle plunging into my vehicle with no hopes of stopping>> stop, breath, pray. BAAMM!! The impact shattered all driver side windows, bent the car frame and deployed the airbags and embedded the other vehicle into my car.

I thank God that I am able to type this blog today and do not question his existence. Prayer online has been a hobby of mine for over 10 years now and I am glad to contribute what I have.

Ranking high in search engines is not an easy gig when it comes to online prayer. The competition is fierce. We have seen our competitors rank high when their page description is dynamic and changes everyday. For us at Post A Prayer, we just don't have the resources to automate our description so that it changes daily. We see that as tricking the Google system anyways. What we find is that we write the best description possible to attract new visitors to our page it seems to sit well with Google. Why does our competition beat us when their page has a dynamic, non descriptive description on their 24-7prayer post a prayer web page? We don't know. We assume they have a higher ranking authority that Google favors over the importance of an accurate meta description. We currently rank number two for the keyword Google Post A Prayer and rightfully so. I mean, wouldn't Google get pissed off if you Google Googled itself, and Bing was above them in the search engine?

We use to be on the front page of Google for keyword phrases like 'Prayer online' and 'online prayer', and now we can't even rank in the top 100. When we did rank well we did some test marketing and ran a PRweb ad and it gave us two great things.... number one was white-hat SEO back-links, and number two was partnering with a well known brand in the market place, PRweb. What wasn't good was how it was on the pocket book. See Post A Prayer is not website that generates income from church members, or donations. It's sole income is dictated by the number of visitors it get's each month. That's it.

I will get off my soap opera box and just share with the world what doesn't work. What is it about our competition that makes them number one for our business entities name? Is it the formula of using video, prayers posted, and structured meta tag data?

We don't know the formula or even a fraction of it. When I compare the back-links my competitor has to Post A Prayer it is ridiculous. Post A Prayer fails. We put out the most ethical content we can, and we can't even rank in Alexa. It just seems like you gotta have money, or generate from some other source and use towards online growth in order to be someone. We thank Zoho for giving us a tool so that we could more focus on SEO than before.

Another day, another dollar.

Prayer is a form of  meditation prayer to a  creator or God. Prayer is an internal voice that generally gives thanks or shows gratitude, or a prayer request can be one that requests help for a special need in ones life. An example of a prayer request would be: "Please help Post A Prayer become high ranking in the search engines so that we can reach as many souls as possible." or "Thank you for all the people we have been able to help over the years."

AG halts deceptive practices of Seattle-based online prayer and consumer complaint service

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mar 16 2016

SEATTLE — Attorney General Bob Ferguson today announced that his office has put a stop to the deceptive business practices of a Seattle-based man and his three companies who will pay back as much as $7,750,000 to approximately 165,000 consumers nationwide.

Benjamin Rogovy used systematic deception in the running of his for-profit company, Christian Prayer Center, including the creation of fake religious leaders and posting false testimonials to entice consumers to pay for prayers.

In a separate business, Rogovy used deceptive and unfair business practices to run the Consumer Complaint Agency, a for-profit business that promised consumers it would advocate on their behalf regarding their complaints against businesses. Instead, the company charged consumers up to $25 for doing little more than passively forwarding complaints.

Rogovy's actions violate the state Consumer Protection Act, which forbids businesses from making false claims, and the Charitable Solicitations Act, which prohibits churches and charities from using misleading or deceptive statements in any charitable solicitation.

“I believe in the power of prayer,” said Ferguson. “What I do not believe in and what I will not tolerate is unlawful businesses that prey upon people — taking advantage of their faith or their need for help — in order to make a quick buck.”

Assistant Attorney General Dan Davies was lead on this case.

Christian Prayer Center

Christian Prayer Center (CPC) offered prayers for $9 - $35 in English through the website www.christianprayercenter.com, and in Spanish through the website www.oracioncristiana.org. Both websites were recently shut down.

Rogovy and the CPC created fake religious leaders and posted false testimonials in order to attract consumers. The CPC claimed that “Pastor John Carlson” solely ran the sites. It would send weekly inspirational emails to consumers under the pastor's name, and even created a fake LinkedIn profile that described the Pastor's experience as “Senior Pastor, Christian Prayer Center, January 2009 — present.” CPC also used the name “Pastor Eric Johnston” to sign consumer correspondence. Neither of these people exist.

CPC also stated, “One of our pastors... is also happy to assist with any religious ceremonies...” This statement gave the impression CPC had multiple pastors who regularly consulted on religious issues. In fact, it had none. Rather, the websites were a for-profit corporation with multiple employees and independent contractors.

The deception didn't stop there. The websites contained fictitious testimonials from consumers using stock photos that claimed they successfully prayed to avoid home foreclosure, deliver a healthy baby, win the lottery, obtain negative results on an HIV test and put cancer into remission.

Additionally, the websites used a deliberately confusing webpage to lock consumers into recurring monthly payments. The AGO investigation found that once consumers submitted and paid for a prayer request, they were directed to a Web page that gave them the option to receive “continued blessings.” The information was presented in a confusing manner and inadequately disclosed that the charges would reoccur until the consumer cancelled.

Between 2011 and 2015, CPC collected more than $7 million from 125,000 consumers nationwide. Some of these consumers were charged repeatedly, resulting in a total of over 400,000 transactions.

Rogovy employed similar deceptive tactics including the creation of a fictional “Pastor Parker Robinson” in the running of a second for-profit on-line entity, Christian National Church (CNC).

Agreement and recovery :

As part of the agreement announced today, Christian Prayer Center must return money to all eligible consumers. Depending on how many consumers file a complaint, this could be over $7 million.

Additionally, CPC and CNC must:

Stop all unfair and deceptive business practices;

Clearly present and disclose payment information;

Pay $500,000 and attorney costs and enforcement fees; and

Be subject to $1,000,000 in civil penalties that are suspended as long as terms of the agreement aren't violated.

Christian Prayer Center claims process

Consumers nationwide who purchased prayer services from Christian Prayer Service or Oracion Cristiana between July 1, 2011 and June 30, 2015 can receive a full refund.

By April 8, 2016 all affected consumers will receive an email from Christian Prayer Center alerting them to the opportunity to file a complaint to receive a refund. To be eligible, consumers must file a complaint with the Washington State Attorney General's Office by June 12, 2016.

File a complaint here.

CPC will then mail checks to eligible consumers.

Consumer Complaint Agency

Rogovy also ran the for-profit business, Consumer Complaint Agency (CCA) which purported to provide robust complaint services for a fee of up to $25 through its website, www.consumercomplaintagency.org. This website was also recently shut down.

The AG's investigation found CCA used deceptive and misleading tactics on its website. The CCA misrepresented its status, making itself look like an official government agency by using a governmental-looking seal and stating consumers should file an “official complaint” and that it would “hold businesses officially accountable.”

CCA also gave the impression that it would provide professional legal assistance to consumers, using legal terms throughout the complaint process such as “case number” and stating it could “take action on your behalf.” CCA is not an official government agency, nor does it employ or work with any attorneys.

Instead, CCA merely forwarded a consumer's complaint on to the business and asked it to respond within 15 days. The most CCA would do is mark the business as “unsatisfactory” on its website if the business didn't respond favorably to the consumer.

From 2011 to 2015 approximately 40,000 consumers nationwide, including 1,000 Washingtonians, purchased this service for a total of over $750,000.

As with Rogovy's other businesses, CCA used a testimonial from a fictional person and fabricated quotes to endorse its services. Additionally, CCA did not disclose the fee until after the consumer filled out a complaint form. When consumers did inquire about a refund, CCA unfairly threatened them with financial and legal penalties.

Many entities, including the Attorney General's Office and the Better Business Bureau, provide informal complaint resolution services for free.

Agreement and recovery : Consumer Complaint Agency

As part of the agreement announced today CCA must pay $750,000 back to consumers.

Additionally, CCA must:

Stop all unfair and deceptive business practices;

Clearly present and disclose payment information; and

Pay $100,000 in attorney costs and fees.

Consumer Complaint Agency refund process

Consumers nationwide who purchased services from Consumer Complaint Agency between July 1, 2011 and June 30, 2015, and have not already received a refund, will receive a full refund.

CCA will proactively mail checks to eligible consumers by March 14, 2016. No claim needs to be filed by CCA consumers.

I'm Scott Turner and I started the site Post A Prayer .org in 2004, by putting up a simple HTML web form web-page which would collect the prayer request information or prayer post from people who were praying. Originally it was a Christian prayer only site. I converted the site into a multi-faith website that would collect prayers for all of the major religions in the world such as Islam prayers. I know how much of a sinner you may think I am if you're a Christian, but this was the direction Post A Prayer was going in. 2004 - For years I thought it would be simple to optimize a website for prayer. Wrong! It is not easy. I am a hobbyist HTML SEO/SEM coder, and when I first designed the HTML code for Post A Prayer it was on a layout based on world locations. Everything was going okay. I would get a few christian prayers here, and a few Islam prayer online there daily. But overall I was and still am disappointed with my SEO success. The site was always getting a ton of spam posts from people posting their porno website links and Gucci hand bag sites to back link to there site. So I had a part- time job just cleaning out the junk the site forum would receive. I never really understood, why target my little site? 2012 Eight years later I was still not happy with my results of online prayer, and I then revamped Post A Prayer  .org in 2012 and spent a couple thousand on the new look and feel of the site. I had  never spent a dime up to this point because I did the coding for the site  myself. I was at the twilight of my working days running a field inspection company and thought what the heck. The newly hired developer in Pakistan was and is brilliant, just  simply brilliant. I put him through the ringer in developing the site. It was very  custom becasur it was taking a prayer posted and stamping it into a forum. So some  heavy duty custom HTML/php code was  needed. On top of that the site was built in a CMS called Joomla by the hired developer in Pakistan (who I call Baber). It turned  out great but I realized quick I was co dependent on Baber. As an html coder I was very excited about  the new horizon of Post A Prayer Org, its online prayers and its visitors because of all the extensions in Joomla. I spent  another couple hundred running a PR Web ad to get some good solid back links to the site and it worked good. Not great, but good. Truth be told, I am writing this entry not because I enjoy writing or because I am an overly spiritual person; it is because I can optimize the hell out of the site with it. That and I needed to vent for all this pent-up failure that had gone on in my quest for SEO success. I did the math a long time ago, and I calculated the potential outcome on if I could get enough traffic to Post A Prayer .org I could potentially be a billionaire (oh ha ha ha you all are thinking). Yes, a billion dollars from people praying online, well actually it would be for those not praying and clicking on Google Adsense. For real though, this is how I came up with my numbers; I took my average # of visitors and the percent of or the ratio of those visitors that would click on Adsense. For example if one out of every 1000 visitors I had clicked on an ad I knew I could build a business model off of this. Why am I sharing this with you? I have failed so many times in SEO and this quest for optimization that I have nothing to loose in sharing. So the 5 year business model formula looked just like this: month      adsense/ mo     visitors praying/ mo 1          $0.10          1000 2          $0.10          2000 3          $0.20          3000 4          $0.30          5000 5          $0.50          8000 6          $0.80          13000 7          $1.30          21000 8          $2.10          34000 9          $3.40          55000 10          $5.50          89000 11          $8.90          144000 12          $14.40          233000 13          $23.30          377000 14          $37.70          610000 15          $61.00          987000 16          $98.70          1597000 17          $159.70          2584000 18          $258.40          4181000 19          $418.10          6765000 20          $676.50          10946000 21          $1,094.60          17711000 22          $1,771.10          28657000 23          $2,865.70          46368000 24          $4,636.80          75025000 25          $7,502.50          121393000 26          $12,139.30          196418000 27          $19,641.80          317811000 28          $31,781.10          514229000 29          $51,422.90          832040000 30          $83,204.00          1346269000 31          $134,626.90          2178309000 32          $217,830.90          3524578000 33          $352,457.80          5702887000 34          $570,288.70          9227465000 35          $922,746.50          14930352000 36          $1,493,035.20          24157817000 37          $2,415,781.70          39088169000 38          $3,908,816.90          63245986000 39          $6,324,598.60          102334155000 40          $10,233,415.50          165580141000 41          $16,558,014.10          267914296000 42          $26,791,429.60          433494437000 43          $43,349,443.70          701408733000 44          $70,140,873.30          1134903170000 45          $113,490,317.00          1836311903000 46          $183,631,190.30          2971215073000 47          $297,121,507.30          4807526976000 48          $480,752,697.60          7778742049000 49          $777,874,204.90          12586269025000 50          $1,258,626,902.50          *20365011074000 So you can see how SEO can spark an interest in one self because I only need 20 trillion prayers each month to make like a billion dollars. This example it is based off of the # of people visiting to the site doubling each month, month over month. I would be Sundar Pichai best friend (CEO of Google) if that were to happen (or he would be  mine). Back to my story, it was 2012 and I launched the newly revamped website that was expensive (for me), and executed the PR web marketing. I was trying everything under the sun from making a WordPress blog to posting on hub pages to YouTube, well...you name it. The traffic results were still minimal. I could see that SEO, and testify that it is an ugly beast that is not easily tamed. I was praying  for someone to just help with my SEO, like God. I literally was praying for help because this is a frustrating gig trying to optimize this site. It wasn't that I hadn't learned a lot, because I have, it is the delays like being dependent on a developer for everything. This was a huge mistake because had I just keep coding horribly the site would have continued to optimize versus look pretty. We have rolled out the new site version and are filling in all the links thanks to Zoho site builder. Check out the new site. People who post and pray online get a sense of relief knowing they get to release or turn over their troubles and concerns. Faith online is very important and Post A Prayer (P,A.P.) intends to lead the way in virtual worship. The great thing about the site is it allows people to release their problems and pray from anywhere around the world. We have serious topics posted, for example, a few days ago someone posted that they were going to commit suicide. No one may know exactly how or when worship started, however, we know prayer online is picking up after extensive case studies. Folks seem happy judging by the number of prayers being posted online at P.A.P., and by the different amount of religions participating.

The site, revamped in January 2012, is a completely free website that has been registered since 2004. It is a non-profit organization seeking exempt status and that strives to offer the world's best online prayer experience in the world. P.A.P. receives many visitors daily from tons of different faiths. Christian and Muslim prayers online are some of the most popular. In an effort to form an equal appreciation and respect among the top religions in the world (P.A.P.) developed a multi-faith prayer center where anyone may go to pray online and turn over their worries, troubles, or problems that cause pain. P.A.P. is committed to helping the needy and has some strong long term goals. The site revamp and developed by a team of different faith members and donated to the non-profit As we, the human race, dive into a technology driven world, prayer online is a cornerstone of our society, especially our youth.

The religions of the world are making a shift to online marketing. P.A.P., started by Scott Turner, stated he had an epiphany late last year in 2011 to convert the site from a singular faith (Christian only) online website, to a multi-faith online prayer platform. The site has been challenging in regards to the optimization of prayer because believe it or not the online prayer posting is competitive. Since the site launched in 2004 it seen the prayer online industry go from little or few Christian prayer and Islam prayer websites offering a prayer online to now, in 2012, there are thousands, if not millions of prayer online sites in the world. How can you help? It is easy, please just share the site. Post A Prayer is growing in member count each and every day and the larger prayer member base we have the better. The more visitors we get the more opportunity we have to help.
2015 - Post A Prayer is approved for government grant application.

05-26-2013:  British History: Muslim Prayer Compass and the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

It was reported on BBC in the British History section that the muslim prayer compass is a contemporary object exhibited at the Museum of Welsh Life St Fagans, and it is one of the first Muslim objects the museum collected.

Islam

Muslims follow the religion of Islam. The word 'Islam' means 'peace'. Islam began in Saudi Arabia and this is the main religion of countries in the Middle East, North Africa and large parts of Asia today. In those countries, it is said that more than half the population follow Islam.

The country with the highest percentage of Muslims is Indonesia, but a large number of Muslims also live in other countries across the world - around 3 million in the USA, around 1.5 million in Britain and around 220,000 in Australia. It is said that more than 1.2 billion of the world's population is now Muslim. Islam is the second largest religion in the world after Christianity, and it is thought that it is the fastest growing religion in terms of its popularity.

Muslims believe that there is only one God. In Arabic, he is called Allah. Allah had messengers, or prophets - among them were Abraham, Moses, Noah, Jesus and Muhammad. Their work was to teach people how to live by giving them messages from Allah.

The holy book of Islam is called the Qur'an. It contains Allah's word as it was spoken to the prophet Muhammad through the Angel Gabriel. The Qur'an is written in Arabic, and to Muslims, it is the most important book in the world.

Towards Mecca...

Praying is an extremely important act for Muslims, and is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, which is the framework that all Muslims must follow in order to live a good and responsible life according to their faith.

In completing the Salah (the 'prayer' part of the Five Pillars of Islam), every Muslim must pray to Allah (God) at specific times five times a day. They can pray anywhere, as long as the place is clean. If they do not pray in the mosque (the Muslim's place of worship), they use a special prayer mat to create a temporary place to pray.

When they pray Muslims must face the direction of the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia, and especially the Ka'bah, the holy shrine in the city centre. This direction is called quibla. To help them to face in the right direction when praying in the mosque, there is a type of alcove called mirab in one of the walls of the prayer hall, showing the direction of Mecca.

If a Muslim prays on a prayer mat outside the walls of the mosque, a special little compass is kept in a small pocket on the back of the mat, to help the Muslim to find the direction of Mecca before praying. The compass is specially programmed to find the direction of Mecca. A mobile compass is also available and a small booklet giving the direction of Mecca from different parts of the world in a small wallet - similar to the one that can be seen in the Museum of Welsh Life in St Fagans.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity involves Christian communities across the world and from almost every denomination.

The materials used in the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity are prepared each year jointly by the Faith and Order Commission of the World Council of Churches and the Roman Catholic Church's Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity.

It is traditionally celebrated over the eight days of 18-25 January, although other dates are sometimes chosen in the Southern hemisphere.

The Week lasts for 8 days (which is why it was originally called an Octave of Prayer), and covers the period from the feast of St Peter to the feast of St Paul.

Top Origin:

The Week developed from an Octave of Prayer devised in 1908 by the American Episcopalian clergyman Paul Wattson, and Spencer Jones, the Vicar of Moreton-in-Marsh in England.

Wattson (who became a Roman Catholic in 1909) believed that Christian unity could only be achieved by the other churches returning to the Roman Catholic fold.

The Week was given a wider remit in the 1930s through the work of a French Roman Catholic, Paul Couturier, who did not believe that it was necessary for all Christians to become Roman Catholics. He taught that "we must pray not that others may be converted to us but that we may all be drawn closer to Christ".

The Week is now a joint project of the Roman Catholic Church and the World Council of Churches, and has been since 1966.

Top Motivation

The Week is motivated by the wish to fulfill God's desire "that all may be one". This is clearly shown in this prayer:

...I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you... May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

John 17

If you ask Christians why they take part in the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, their answers are likely to include some of these points:

A common desire to communicate God's love to all the world

Accepting that God's ultimate purpose is to unite all things in Christ

Obedience to the prayer of Jesus Christ "That all might be one" (John 17:21) and that "There might be one flock and one shepherd." (John 10:16)

Acknowledgement that Christ is the only one who can reconcile all things and people, and that Christ's people must pray for this reconciliation

Desire to show the Church as foretaste, instrument and sign of the unity of God's Kingdom

Acceptance that the Christian Church can only be the Church that God intended if all churches acknowledge their mutual interdependence

Desire to demonstrate a unity that is sometimes hidden by denominational differences through the act of praying together

Desire to achieve unity in a way that enriches rather than diminishes the legitimate diversity of local churches

Many people see it as their duty to pray not just for the unity of Christians but for the unity of all people who are made in God's image.
